UV Fungi Walk at Danby Lodge National Park Centre
Saturday 24th October 2026 from 16:30pm to 19:45pm
Danby Lodge National Park Centre
Lodge Lane, Danby, North Yorkshire, YO21 2NB
Join Lucy from Wild Roots Foraging for a fascinating evening exploring the hidden world of biofluorescence in nature. Beginning with a wild-spiced mushroom hot chocolate, take a walk through Crow Wood discovering edible and medicinal plants and fungi as daylight fades. Once darkness falls, UV torches will reveal an otherwise unseen world as you search for biofluorescent fungi, plants, mosses, lichens and insects glowing beneath ultraviolet light.
This event takes place as part of the North York Moors Dark Skies Fringe Festival 2026.
