All Party Parliamentary Group for Dark Skies

All Party Parliamentary Group for Dark Skies

The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Dark Skies was formed in January 2020 by Co-Chairs Andrew Griffith, MP for Arundel & South Downs, and Lord Martin Rees of Ludlow, the Astronomer Royal and former President of the Royal Astronomical Society. The group’s primary focus is to preserve the night sky within the UK and promote the adoption of dark sky friendly lighting and planning policies.

The more MP’s that are members of the group, the louder their collective voice will be in the Houses of Parliament!

If you would like Parliament to consider implementing better laws to help address the adverse impact of light pollution, please ask your MP to join the group! Thank you!
