Join local astronomers Kate Earl and Bill Coombes for an unforgettable evening beneath the stars as you watch for the spectacular Perseid meteor shower. Learn about the science of meteors, the life cycle of stars, and the myths and folklore of the night sky, with the chance to observe the planet Venus through a telescope before settling in to enjoy nature’s celestial fireworks. Bring a picnic chair or blanket, dress warmly, and prepare for a relaxing night under the stars.
