Wednesday 12th August 2026 from 17:30pm to 20:00pm
Abbot Hall Park
Peppercorn Lane, Kendal, Cumbria, LA9 5AQ, North West England
Eddington Astronomical Society are planning an informal eclipse watching event in the park near Abbot Hall, Peppercorn Lane, Kendal. No need to book, just turn up. The emphasis will very much be on safety when viewing eclipses, with solar glasses available courtesy of Go Stargazing. The group will have a few telescopes set up as well, with specialist solar filters or using projection to view the event. Note that the group intend to setup even if cloudy, however, if it’s clearly raining for the duration of the event, it will be called off. Please check the society’s website for updates.
