DESCRIPTION:Eddington Astronomical Society are planning an informal eclipse
  watching event in the park near Abbot Hall\, Peppercorn Lane\, Kendal. No
  need to book\, just turn up. The emphasis will very much be on safety whe
 n viewing eclipses\, with solar glasses available courtesy of Go Stargazin
 g. The group will have a few telescopes set up as well\, with specialist s
 olar filters or using projection to view the event. Note that the group in
 tend to setup even if cloudy\, however\, if it's clearly raining for the d
 uration of the event\, it will be called off. Please check the society's w
