Barrow Beacons - Illuminating the Ancient Landscape

Discover Exmoor’s Bronze Age past on a unique twilight walk from Pinkery, exploring the ancient Wood Barrow and Chains Barrow beneath the darkening sky. Two groups will walk separate routes before using torches to create a triangle of light across the moorland, connecting these ancient sites across the landscape. The approximately 5km walk crosses uneven ground and requires a reasonable level of fitness, with hot chocolate waiting back at Pinkery afterwards. The event is free, with donations to CareMoor appreciated, and booking is required.
This event takes place as part of the Exmoor Dark Skies Festival 2026.
