Everyone is welcome to this public open evening of the Cygnus Observatory at the Washington Wetland Centre.
The observatory is usually open every Sunday evening to members and non-members alike from 7 pm – 9 pm. Please note that these events are subject to volunteer availability and weather conditions.
Astronomers from the Sunderland Astronomical Society will be on hand operating telescopes and answering questions. If you have a telescope, bring it along for expert advice!
On the third Sunday of each month, the group meets for a more formal session that includes a presentation by a guest speaker.
These events are an excellent opportunity to find out more about their Society and possibly join their group.
