Curious about the new Dark Skies Station at Danby Lodge National Park Centre? Join members of Whitby and District Astronomical Society every Friday from 11.30am to 3.30pm for an informal open day celebrating the wonders of the day and night sky. Discover more about the observatory, learn about our permanent telescope, and find out what makes the North York Moors such a special place for stargazing as part of an International Dark Sky Reserve. Weather permitting, there will also be opportunities for safe solar observing. No booking is required—simply drop in and explore the universe with us.
