  • Keele Observatory public open evening

    Tuesday every week from January 2026 to December 2026

    Keele Observatory, Newcastle-under-Lyme, ST5 5BG

    The Keele Observatory opens its doors for public observing every Tuesday evening from 8 pm to 10 pm.

    Enjoy an evening looking through their historical 12-inch aperture Grubb Parsons refractor (weather permitting), see their 24-inch aperture research telescope in action and view their exhibits.

    An astronomer will be on hand to answer your questions. These sessions are suitable for all ages, are free of charge, and no booking is required.
