J.A. Jones Hoober Observatory

The J.A. Jones Hoober Observatory is the proud home of the Mexborough & Swinton Astronomical Society and is run voluntarily by enthusiastic members.
Public viewing evenings typically run from September to March and include a short presentation and viewing through telescopes if weather permits.
During the Summer, the observatory is open for solar observing, normally on Sunday afternoons.
The Society also offers private bookings for schools, youth, and community organisations.
