Tomintoul Skyhide Stargazing Pavilion - Field of Hope Car Park
Tomintoul, Ballindalloch, Banffshire, AB37 9ET
The Field of Hope car park is placed in a very accessible location just outside Tomintoul with excellent all round views of the sky.
In early 2025, a new stargazing pavilion was created called the Tomintoul Skyhide offering a fantastic focal point and amenity for visiting stargazers.
The local street lights have been replaced with dark sky friendly units enabling excellent viewing of the exceptionally dark skies above.
In November 2018 the location received official recognition as a Dark Sky Discovery Site in the Cairngorms Dark Sky Park.
