Alyn Wallace Art Installation

Alyn Wallace was a celebrated astrophotographer whose passion for the night sky inspired thousands to look up with renewed wonder. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on through his published books and now a moving art installation that pays tribute to his life and work.
The location of the installation is near the Craig Goch Dam in the heart of the Elan Valley in mid-Wales, one of Alyn’s favourite places to photograph the night sky. Known for its dark skies and dramatic scenery, Elan Valley served as the backdrop for many of his most iconic images.
This tribute not only honours a gifted photographer but also serves as a reminder of the fragile beauty of our night skies. It continues Alyn Wallace’s mission—to share the magic of the cosmos and to protect the dark places where its wonders can still be seen.
