The Lake Cottages at Cwm Chwefru offer a peaceful, family-friendly retreat in a secluded Mid Wales valley. Set within beautiful grounds beside a fishing lake and flowing river, the cottages provide a safe and scenic setting for families to relax and enjoy the unspoiled Welsh countryside.
With a heated swimming pool, sauna, indoor games room, tennis court and outdoor play area, there’s plenty on site to keep both children and adults entertained. Surrounded by rolling hills, forests and open countryside, the location is perfect for family adventures as well as quiet relaxation. Thanks to its rural setting and exceptionally low light pollution, the cottages are also a superb destination for stargazing.
On clear and moonless evenings, guests can view the Milky Way stretching across the sky, along with constellations and occasional meteor showers, all beneath wonderfully dark, expansive skies. The peaceful valley setting makes it easy to step outside and enjoy the stars in complete tranquillity, while still providing convenient access to Wales’ natural and historic attractions.
Accommodation options include a cosy studio for two (with space for a travel cot), one-bedroom cottages that can sleep up to four guests, and two-bedroom cottages accommodating up to six guests. In total, the site can host group bookings of up to 54 people, making it ideal for family gatherings and celebrations.
