Walking & Night Navigation Using The Stars - Goathland (Heartbeat Country)
Friday 23rd October 2026 from 16:30pm to 20:30pm
Scripps Garage
Goathland, Whitby, North Yorkshire, YO22 5LY, Yorkshire and The Humber
Join Walk Yorkshire for an atmospheric 4 to 5-mile evening walk around Goathland and Mallyan Spout, a spectacular waterfall plunging more than 60 feet into the wooded valley below. Setting out at 4:30pm as daylight begins to fade, the walk offers the chance to experience the North York Moors after dark and, as night falls, learn how the stars can be used for navigation beneath the area’s dark skies.
This event takes place as part of the North York Moors Dark Skies Fringe Festival 2026.
