The Star of Bethlehem at Lime Tree Observatory
Monday 22nd December 2025 from 18:30pm to 20:30pm
Lime Tree Observatory and Planetarium
Lime Tree Farm, Grewelthorpe, North Yorkshire, HG4 3DA
Join astronomers from the Lime Tree Observatory and Planetarium for a warm and wonderfully light-hearted exploration of the most iconic star of the season. The Star of Bethlehem is a delightful presentation that unwraps the many celestial possibilities behind this famous festive phenomenon.
Half of the evening will be spent enjoying the show, and the other half will be devoted to stargazing through our telescopes—weather permitting, of course! If the skies aren’t on our side, we’ll continue the adventure indoors with extra planetarium magic.
As always, we’ll break for seasonal refreshments, complete with mince pies and mulled wine to keep spirits bright. It’s a perfect way to relax and ease into the festive period.
These events are family-friendly, though the presentation content is best suited for ages 10 and up.
Please note that this has already taken place on 22/12/2025
