Sun Live! At Clanfield Observatory
Saturday 11th July 2026 from 14:00pm to 16:00pm
Clanfield Observatory
Hinton Heights, Clanfield, Hampshire, PO8
Join Clanfield Observatory for a daytime solar observing experience at the UK’s largest amateur observatory facility. Using specialist solar telescopes and filters, visitors can safely view the Sun in real time, including its surface and, when conditions allow, features such as sunspots and solar prominences. If poor weather prevents solar viewing, an illustrated talk about the Sun will be provided instead. Advance booking is essential due to limited capacity, with tickets priced at £10 for adults and £6 for those aged 16 and under.
