Join Havering Astronomical Society and Thames Chase Trust for a day of solar observing, planetarium shows, family activities, and evening stargazing at Thames Chase Forest Centre.
Explore the universe in the immersive Starlight STEM inflatable planetarium, take part in hands-on space-themed crafts and activities, and learn more about the wonders of the night sky throughout the afternoon.
In the evening, witness a rare partial solar eclipse with guidance from members of Havering Astronomical Society before enjoying an optional BBQ from the Forest Centre Tearoom. As darkness falls, turn your attention to the stars and experience an evening of telescope observing, including views of the annual Perseid meteor shower.
Whether you’re a seasoned skywatcher or simply curious about astronomy, this family-friendly event offers a unique opportunity to explore the sky from the Sun to the stars.
