Join the Salford Astronomical Society to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the opening of their Chaseley Field Observatory.
The event includes a video talk from Dr Allan Chapman on the history of the Observatory and Salford Astronomical Society and the unveiling of their upgraded 18-inch Newtonian Telescope.
There will also be a display of telescopes, face painting, kids activities, BBQ, refreshments and stargazing if weather permits,
