Join Sophie from Cosmic Wonders and Neill from Go Stargazing for an evening under the starry skies of Sutton Bank! Our venue is the fantastic Sutton Bank Star Hub, a specially designed space ideal for viewing the night skies of the North York Moors Dark Sky Park.
Enjoy a laser-guided tour of the constellations and use large-aperture telescopes to view the planets Venus, Jupiter, Mars and even the distant Uranus. The Moon will also be high in the sky and looks incredible through a telescope!
There’ll also be a beginners presentation in astronomy, a heads up of what to look out for over the coming months and, if the weather is a bit drab, a fascinating talk on the search for exoplanets.
This event is held in celebration of National Astronomy Week 2025.
