Join astronomers Richard Darn and Neill Sanders from Go Stargazing for an astronomical weekend in Teesdale.
This star camp is perfect for novice astronomers including adults and children aged six and over.
Telescopes will be provided, along with expert guidance, and you are welcome to bring your equipment, too, including cameras (with tripods) and binoculars.
There will also be astronomy-themed talks, solar observing and a bottle rocket competition.
Saturn will look amazing over the weekend, with a super bright Jupiter and a big Moon visible, too. The views are sure to blow your socks off!
We will also be celebrating International Observe the Moon Night 2023.
You will arrive on Friday night for a mulled wine reception at 7 pm – stargazing will be available (weather permitting) on Friday and Saturday nights; depart on Sunday. Bring warm clothing and a red light torch (if you have one).
Pitch fees are £30 per night with electric hookup, £25 without, plus £10 per person per night astronomy fee (£8 for under 16’s).
