Get ready for a cosy and magical evening all about the Moon in Botton Village, set beneath some of the darkest skies around. This family-friendly event is perfect for anyone aged 8+ who’s ever looked up and wondered about our closest neighbour in space.
You’ll kick things off with a fun and easy-to-follow talk about the Moon—how it changes shape, what it’s made of, and why it’s so important to us. Then it’s time to see it for yourself through powerful telescopes, where you can spot craters and mountains up close. You’ll even get the chance to see real pieces of Moon rock and hear the stories behind them. Hot drinks are included too, so you can stay warm while enjoying the night.
The evening is led by Sophie Carroll from Cosmic Wonders, who brings space to life in a way that’s engaging and easy for all ages to enjoy. Bring a blanket, snuggle up on a deckchair, and enjoy a relaxed night of discovery under the stars. Spaces are limited to 30 people, so it’s nice and intimate—just be sure to book in advance!
