Danby Lodge National Park Centre is a recognised Dark Sky Discovery Site, a perfect location for public members to enjoy incredible views of the nighttime skies over the North York Moors Dark Sky Reserve. In addition, the national park and local astronomy clubs frequently use the venue for stargazing events, especially during dark skies festivals, and is earmarked as a possible location for a purpose-built observatory.
