Jupiter on the rise and Autumn's constellations shining bright

A big night for big views! As darkness descends the sky will be starry as the Milky Way puts on an early show before the moon rises in the east. In the south Saturn is standing sentinel – the highest it’s been in the UK sky for 14 years. At the end of the event all eyes will be tunred to see Jupiter clear the trees on its way to another vintage year high in the sky. We’ll have telescopes and binocluars ready to capture the action.

This event is being staged in collaboration with our friends at Go Stargazing! Together we are committed to making stargazing accessible and affordable – viewing the heavens shouldn’t cost the earth.

The Hub provides a warm indoor space for colourful presentations with a purpose built viewing area alongside. If it’s cloudy we will still see stars thanks to a brilliant computer based planetarium show.
