Isle of Wight Observatory public open night

Isle of Wight Observatory public open night

Thursday 28th October 2021 from 19:30pm to 22:00pm

The Isle of Wight Observatory
Watery Lane, Newchurch, Isle of Wight, PO36 0LX

The Newchurch Observatory on the Isle of Wight is open to visitors every Thursday evening, with events being run by the friendly and welcoming astronomers from the Vectis Astronomical Society.

Groups of six people or more should contact the Society before their visit. In addition, visitors should anticipate some precautions regarding Covid, including a limit to the number of people in the observatory at any one time and the requirement to wear a face mask.

There is no charge for admission; however, donations are welcome and appreciated. So if you’re a local or even visiting the Isle of Wight on holiday, why not join them for an evening of stargazing?

Please note that this has already taken place on 28/10/2021
