Thaxted Astronomical Society is pleased to offer a free Introduction to Astronomy course, designed especially for beginners and novices.
These relaxed, friendly sessions provide a clear and accessible introduction to the night sky, basic astronomy concepts, and how to get started with observing. No prior knowledge or equipment is needed—just curiosity and an interest in space.
The course is ideal for anyone who has ever looked up and wondered what they were seeing, and wants to learn more in a welcoming, informal environment.
