West Stow Country Park
Icklingham Road, West Stow, Suffolk, IP28 6HG
Join night explorer Jon Tyler for a late-summer evening of astronomy, wildlife, and sensory discovery at West Stow Country Park.
As daylight fades and darkness descends, you’ll be guided through the park on a gentle after-hours walk, experiencing the landscape in a completely different way. Along the route, you’ll be encouraged to tune into the sights, sounds, and atmosphere of the twilight world, from listening for owls and nocturnal wildlife to discovering traditional methods of creating light.
The evening will also feature opportunities to explore optical illusions, learn about the night sky, and enjoy stargazing beneath the darkening heavens. Combining nature, history, and astronomy, this immersive experience offers a unique perspective on one of Suffolk’s most beautiful landscapes.
Set within 125 acres of heathland, woodland, and riverside habitat, West Stow Country Park surrounds the historic site of the Anglo-Saxon Village, creating a memorable setting for an evening of exploration and discovery.
