Dark Skies Festival Stargazing at Sutton Bank

Tonight marks the start of the UK’s biggest stargazing festival. And that’s our cue to break out the telescopes and explore the dark sky overhead from our purpose built facility.
Planets, star clusters, and even other galaxies are some of the amazing objects we’ll hunt down. Expect to see satellites scurry overhead and perhaps even a shooting star!
This event is being staged in collaboration with our friends at Go Stargazing and Cosmic Wonders. Together we are committed to making stargazing accessible and affordable – viewing the heavens shouldn’t cost the earth.
The Hub provides a warm indoor space for colourful presentations with a purpose built viewing area alongside. If it’s cloudy we will still see stars thanks to a brilliant computer based planetarium show.
