Cosmic Cumbria Evening: Talk, Film & Exhibition Launch

Join Eden Valley and Penrith Astronomy Group at Rheged for a special evening celebrating Cumbria’s dark skies. The event launches the interactive Cosmic Cumbria Astrophotography Exhibition, featuring spectacular images from astronomy and photography groups across the county, followed by the first public screening of the film Cumbria Night Skies.
The evening concludes with Professor Roger William Lewis Jones of Lancaster University exploring the Vera C. Rubin Observatory in Chile and how its groundbreaking survey of the night sky will help astronomers investigate dark matter, galaxies, asteroids and other mysteries of the Universe.
