Astronomy Night at The Maryport Settlement

Join regional astronomers at The Settlement for a welcoming evening of astronomy featuring short talks, displays and, weather permitting, stargazing. Discover how to find Polaris, navigate the winter night sky and understand different types of telescopes, with talks covering the Solar System, colourful stars, star camps, eclipses and auroras.
Astrophotography from the Rheged Astronomy competition will also be on display, with hot drinks available. All ages are welcome, entry is by donation, and warm clothing is recommended for outdoor observing.
