Beginner's Astronomy at Beacon Hill Observatory
The second Friday of the month from September 2024 to June 2025
Beacon Hill Observatory
Montgomery Road, Cleethorpes, South Humberside, DN35
Join the friendly astronomers from the Cleethorpes & District Astronomical Society for this beginner’s session at their Beacon Hill Observatory.
These sessions occur from September to June on the second or third Friday of each month. They include a presentation on two astronomical topics plus a look at what is visible in the night sky.
If the skies are clear, the session turns into a practical stargazing session observing using telescopes. So take your telescope if you have one for some expert help. Hot drinks and biscuits will also be available.
Each beginner’s session is suitable for novices and those with little prior knowledge of astronomy. Children are welcome as long as an adult accompanies them.
