The Cleethorpes and District Astronomical Society meets three times a month during most of the year.
The main meeting takes place on the first Wednesday of each month and has an invited speaker. After these meetings their observatory is open for observing, weather permitting. An exception to this is the month of August when there is a special event for the Perseid meteor shower.
On the Friday of the following week from September to May, there is a Beginners' meeting. If the sky is clear, members operate telescopes and introduce attendees to the wonders of the night sky. Otherwise, there are presentations.
On the Wednesday of the week after that, there is an 'informal' meeting for the discussion of all matters astronomical.
Members of the public are welcome to join Society Members at all of their meetings.
Full details, including a calendar of events, contacts, location and a page devoted to the Beginners' meetings, can be found on the Society's website.
