The annual North Pennines Stargazing Festival takes place this year between 23rd October and 3rd November. The year 2019 will be the third festival and with previous years being so successful there’s lots to look forward to this time around.
With a variety of events taking place the festival is a celebration of the fantastic dark skies above the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offers plenty of opportunities to get outdoors stargazing! Scheduled to take place during the half-term period means that younger astronomers can participate to! Why not book on several events and make a short break of it — the North Pennines is a fabulous place to explore!
We are pleased to feature events taking place as part of the festival that include some element of practical astronomy / stargazing. There’s much more happening besides this, for a full list of events visit the official webpage on the North Pennines AONB website or view the festival brochure.
Clear skies!
