Welcome to Wolverhampton Astronomical Society, an amateur group founded in 1951 that has seen over half a century of achievements in astronomy and space exploration. Open to all, from complete beginners to experts, the Society offers help, guidance, and a range of events, including meetings, local observing evenings, and lectures by professional and experienced amateur astronomers.

Regular meetings with Wolverhampton Astronomical Society

  • Wolverhampton Astronomical Society meeting (summer)

    The second Monday of the month from April 2026 to June 2026

    University of Wolverhampton, Wolverhampton, WV1 1LY

    Join the Wolverhampton Astronomical Society for this one of their regular meetings. The group meets every fortnight from Autumn to Spring and monthly during Summer (April, May and June). There are no meetings in July and August.

    The session often includes a presentation by an experienced guest speaker or amateur astronomer and an opportunity to learn about the Society and their observing sessions at their observatory.
