Wealden Astronomers are a group of keen amateur astronomers and astrophotographers who meet regularly at the wonderful location of Herstmonceux Castle. Everyone interested in astronomy is guaranteed a warm welcome to their meetings and stargazing sessions.

  • Wealden Astronomers monthly meeting and observing

    The fourth Friday of the month from January 2026 to December 2026

    Herstmonceux Castle, Hailsham, BN27 1RN

    Wealden Astronomers meet on the fourth Friday of each month (with some exceptions, eg Christmas) at the spectacular Herstmonceux Castle.

    On clear nights, if no other event is on the schedule, the group will also take advantage of the excellent observing and imaging opportunities that the dark location offers, away from light pollution sources.

    Everyone is welcome, however please contact the Wealden Astronomers in advance if you would like to join them.
