Wakefield & District Astronomical Society

Wakefield and District Astronomical Society was founded by a group of local amateur astronomers who connected through the Stargazers Lounge forum and began organising stargazing sessions in the area. Quickly growing in numbers and expertise, the society has developed into a vibrant and diverse community.

Today, it hosts regular guest speaker events during the stargazing season and runs public outreach sessions focused on both solar and night sky observation.
