The Starsmith

The Starsmith, aka Lee Hunt, delivers interactive astronomy shows for Years 5 and 6 in primary schools across Lancashire, helping to support curriculum-based science and STEM learning.

Through hands-on demonstrations, experiments, storytelling and audience participation, pupils explore topics including Earth and space, gravity, light, telescopes, the Solar System, and the wider universe.

The sessions are designed to make science engaging, accessible and inspiring, encouraging curiosity and a deeper interest in STEM subjects.

In addition to school outreach, The Starsmith also runs stargazing experiences at the Witchmark Observatory, giving visitors the opportunity to explore the night sky through guided observing sessions.

Lee holds an Enhanced DBS check and is available to work with primary schools throughout Lancashire.
