South of Scotland Destination Alliance

The South of Scotland Destination Alliance (SSDA) is the destination management and marketing organisation for the Scottish Borders and Dumfries and Galloway, working with local businesses, communities and partners to promote the region as a sustainable and welcoming visitor destination.

The Alliance is a strong supporter of the South of Scotland’s outstanding dark skies, helping to promote stargazing and other nighttime experiences while encouraging appreciation and protection of the region’s natural darkness. The SSDA also supports the South of Scotland Dark Sky Festival, which brings together events and experiences across the region celebrating astronomy, nature, culture and the special qualities of the night.
