Regular meetings with South Cheshire Astronomical Society

  • South Cheshire Astronomical Society meeting

The third Thursday of the month from January 2024 to May 2024

Holiday Inn Express - Crewe, Crewe, CW1 6DR

Enjoy an astronomical presentation at this monthly meeting of the South Cheshire Astronomical Society. Everyone interested in astronomy is welcome to join them, and you don't need a science degree to get involved! These sessions offer a great way of meeting local astronomers and learning about their practical stargazing events and club night observing sessions.
  • South Cheshire Astronomical Society club meeting & observing

The first Monday of the month from September 2023 to May 2024

    St Peter's Community Hall, Crewe, CW1 4RD

If you are interested in astronomy, you can join the South Cheshire Astronomical Society members for their club meeting.

These sessions occur (usually) on the first Monday of each month from September to May, although the day (and sometimes venue) changes. Please check with the Society to confirm.

The main focus of these nights is to observe the night sky using a range of Society telescopes and members’ scopes. If you have binoculars or a telescope, then take them along!

When the weather is poor, the opportunity is taken to meet with other interested observers, listen to informal talks, share information and undertake virtual sky viewing.

Admission, plus refreshments of tea, coffee, fruit juice and cake, are free, but donations are gratefully received to help cover costs.
