Reading Astronomical Society

On the fourth Friday of each month from (end of) September to May, astronomers from the Reading Astronomical Society hold an astronomy outreach session that are ideal for beginners and suitable for all ages.

Stargazing outside using telescopes is a priority should weather permit. You're welcome to take along your telescope if you have one for expert advice. All ages can attend; younger ones are welcome to join the stargazing sessions.

Sessions also include a talk on an astronomical topic ideal for novices, indoor demonstrations and what is visible in the night sky.

Refreshments will be available. There is no charge for these meetings and no need to book in advance.

Join the welcoming members of the Reading Astronomical Society for this regular monthly meeting which takes place on the third Saturday of each month from September through to June (maybe the second Saturday at Christmas and Easter). Sessions include a presentation on various astronomical topics, often by a guest speaker. Note that beginners and novices might be interested in the group's Friday Club meetings.
