    Join the Preston and District Astronomical Society members for this one of their regular second Thursday of the month (except December) meetings. Enjoy a presentation by a guest speaker and catch up with fellow astronomers. You can also learn more about the events at their observatory in Moor Park. Everyone with an interest in astronomy is welcome!

    The third Thursday of the month from January 2025 to December 2025

    Jeremiah Horrocks Observatory - Moor Park, Preston, PR2 3AE

    Pop along to the Jeremiah Horrocks Observatory in Preston's Moor Park for an evening of stargazing with Preston and District Astronomical Society astronomers.

    The observatory is open for public visits most third Thursday evenings of each month.

    These sessions are suitable for everyone, including children and novices. Telescopes are provided, and you can take yours if you have one.

    No prior booking is required, however we recommend contacting the Society prior to your visit to confirm the event is taking place.
