Newcastle Astronomical Society meet on the third Thursday of each month between September and May (their December meeting is usually brought forward towards the beginning of that month) at the Summerhill Bowling Club at the heart of Newcastle. These meetings are open to the public and include a talk / presentation often by a guest speaker. The Society also arranges a number of observing events around the North East including society only sessions at their Blagdon observing site.
