Moffat Astronomy Club

The fantastic Moffat Community Observatory is open to pre-booked visits throughout the week (except for Sundays) from October to March.

Enjoy incredible views of the night skies above internationally-recognised Moffat Dark Sky Town and observe extraordinary objects through the observatory's giant 16" aperture telescope.

These informal evenings must be booked in advance and are subject to favourable weather conditions and the availability of volunteers. Sessions are free of charge; however, donations are welcome.

Join the friendly members of the Moffat Astronomy Club for their monthly club meeting held virtually online via Zoom. These sessions take place on the second Tuesday of each month and include an informal presentation or talk on an astronomical topic. The meeting also offers a way to learn more about the club and their lovely nearby observatory.
