Derby & District Astronomical Society

Members of the public are welcome to join astronomers from the Derby & District Astronomical Society for monthly observing sessions (usually) on the second Saturday of each month (start time varies through the year), except for July and August when the observatory is closed for Summer.

These sessions offer the opportunity to look through the Society's telescopes. If you have a telescope you are welcome to bring it along. Note that anyone attending the observatory does so at their own risk.

Join the friendly and welcoming astronomers of the Derby & District Astronomical Society for this one of their regular monthly group meetings on the first Friday of each month except for July and August.

These meetings usually involve a talk by an outside speaker, typically from a university, on some aspect of astronomy or space science and are pitched at a level that everyone can enjoy.
