Vega - Shacks Wild Stargazing Lodge
Plas Yn Vivod, Llangollen, Clwyd, LL20 8BS, Wales
Shacks creates handcrafted, off-grid cabins designed to help you slow down, switch off, and immerse yourself in nature.
Vega is set in the picturesque Dee Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and has one of the most dramatic views around. Come here to disconnect from modern life, spend quality time with your favourite person, or enjoy some of our favourite walks in and around Llangollen, North Wales. Its elevated, secluded position also makes Vega an exceptional spot for stargazing, with dark, open skies that come alive on clear nights.
Take a stroll along the canal beside the horse-drawn boats, brave the walk along ‘the stream in the sky’ Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, and don’t leave without watching the sunset from Castell Dinas Bran — or the bedroom window if you prefer.
Stay & Gaze - this location benefits from dark skies, relatively low levels of light pollution, is astronomy friendly and suitable for stargazing breaks.
