The annual Sunderland Astronomical Society Starbeque is a traditional celebration of the return of darker nights after Summer.

This event is normally accessible to the public; however, due to Covid restrictions, this year, it may only be attended by Society Members and their guests.

If you are not already a Member, this event would be a great incentive to join. The Society’s annual membership costs less than a single ticket to some nearby observatories and grants access to a wealth of further benefits. Find out how to join Sunderland Astronomical Society.

Please bring disposable barbeques and your own food, or prepared meals, snacks, etc. Note that there is a car parking charge of £1.50.

There is usually lots of telescopes of all shapes and sizes. If you have your own telescope, take it along for some expert advice.

Please note that this has already taken place on 11/09/2021
