Join experienced astronomer, astrophotographer and night-sky-guide Wil for this one of a series of stargazing events at Walltown Country Park, set on Hadrian’s Wall, one of the darkest sky sites in Northumberland International Dark Sky Park. This family-friendly event starts at 18:00 and lasts for 90 minutes.
This unique location has everything for an amazing dark skies experience including a warm space for talks and workshops, large-aperture telescopes ideal for observing planets and deep-sky objects, plus the perfect skies for unforgettable views of the Milky Way. The venue also benefits a fantastic place to spot aurora, and these events are scheduled only on nights with no moonlight, making the most of Northumberland’s dark skies.
