Stargazing Monday with Oxford Space and Astronomy Society
Monday 10th November 2025 from 18:30pm to 19:30pm
Oxford University - Atmospheric, Oceanic and Planetary Physics Building
Sherrington Road, Oxford, Oxfordshire, OX1 3PU, South East England
The Oxford Space and Astronomy Society will host an evening of stargazing on the roof of AOPP, where experts will guide participants in exploring stars, planets, constellations, and deep-sky objects.
Attendees will also watch for bright satellites such as the International Space Station and the Hubble Space Telescope, with the programme extended to include imaging of the Moon, planets, and other celestial sights. Designed for both beginners and experienced stargazers, the event offers an opportunity to learn, ask questions, and connect with fellow astronomy enthusiasts.
Admission is free but places are limited and available only through advance sign-up, which opens at noon on the Tuesday of the preceding week.
The event is weather-dependent, and confirmation will be given on the day. As access to AOPP is restricted, volunteers will escort attendees in and out of the building.
These stargazing sessions run during Oxford University term times.
