Tuesday 12th August 2025 from 20:00pm to 22:30pm
Munnings Art Museum
Castle Hill, Dedham, Essex, CO7 6AZ, East of England England
The next event for the Dedham Dark Skies Campaign is the annual Perseids Shooting Stars Party. This will be held at 8:30pm on August 12th at Munnings Art Museum, organised in collaboration with the Tiptree Star Gazers.
There will be two talks about meteors and how to photograph them whilst we wait for the skies to darken. The moon rises just after 21:30 so there we should be able to observe that as well. We will also have a display of meteorites for you to look at.
Please book in advance to allow us to have an idea of the number of guests to expect. Just email [email protected] with the number in your party. Upon receipt detailed directions to get to us will be sent.
This is a FREE event, refreshments are also free, but we do have a voluntary donation jar to help cover our costs.
Please note that this has already taken place on 12/08/2025
