The Salford Observatory is the proud home of the Salford Astronomical Society. Steeped in history, the location houses an incredible 18.5-inch aperture reflecting telescope, donated by Jodrell Bank in the 1970s.
The facility has a proud history and was recently renovated in 2020 with a new warm room and projector to cater for talks and presentations.
Open most Wednesdays of the year, guests can expect a warm welcome from friendly astronomers as well as amazing views of fascinating objects through the telescope! A visit is highly recommended!
