Mark Thompson's Guinness World Record Lecture Attempt

Starting at noon on September 11th 2021, Mark Thompson (broadcaster and author) will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for Longest Marathon Lecture, which stands at 139 hr 42 min 56 sec. Mark will need to be lecturing for around 140 hours to do this!

As a proud Ambassador for Barnardo’s, Mark will be using this event to raise much-needed funds for them.

To be successful, Mark must have an audience member present at all times while lecturing – day and night! The whole event has been split into sessions; by signing up as an audience member, you will get to be part of the official Guinness World Record attempt!
